Post 6: How To Link Art Studies With Our Personal Lives?

Imagen
Hi guys! I hope you are well The most of people I had met had wondered sometime what career is the best for them. That’s not an easy question. Some people don’t need to think about it a lot, and take a quick decision. Others, like me, need more time to get decided. The word “engineering” shot through my mind so many times since I was sixteen, and the idea of studying music was present during most of 2018. Finally, after almost two years, I think I chose the right path about this first decision about my future, by studying a career that brings together Arts and Engineering. However, this is just the beginning. So many questions come up in the course of our careers, and if you are studying something related to Arts like me, this question in particular might be interesting for you. So, how to link Art Studies with our personal lives? Looking for a real link   First of all, the main thing is to study something you like; otherwise, it can be very difficult to generate a li...

Post 5: My Future Job

Imagen
Hi guys! Talk about the future is very hard, because I'm not totally sure about how my life will be after a few years. However, there are some things that I know; for example, I woudn't like to work in an office or in an enclosed place, doing something repetitive. I hope my job would let me work outdoors too, to travel a lot, meet new places and learn to do my job better. I think that the career you chose will not necessarily define the things you will do or won't at the future. In fact, I think that a career is a means to an end, but that end is not (always) the career.  At present I'm studying Sound Engineering. I really like my career, because it mix Art with Engineering. It brings you a lot of possibilities to work, and in the last time, I had been more interested with the Audiovisual Area: the Sound Design and Musical Production inside movies. I imagine that it means a lot of work in front of a computer (something I don't like entirely, but I can bear it), and ...

Post 4: My Pet

Imagen
Hi again! At present I don't have a pet, but a few years ago I used to have one. His name was Manchas, and he was a dog. The year was 2013, at night, and my family and I were at home. I went to our courtyard when suddenly I saw a dog lying down on my mom's flowers, staring at me. Someone had abandoned him, something that is very common at the countryside. Since that day, Manchas became our dog (at the beginning, my mom was very far from happy, because his plants didn't grow up for a while). His size was the usual, not much large and not much small, and if you could see it, you would think that he is an English Sheepdog, but I never knew it.  I spent very good times with Manchas. More than a pet, he was like a partner, always accompanying me when I used to go for a walk, or while I was working in the countryside.  He lived with us until 2015, when he died because an accident. That was very hard, but now I only keep all the things we did together :) See you soon!

Post 3: Quarantine Hobbies

Imagen
Hi guys! In this quarantine, the activity that have kept me busy the most of the time is to study. These semesters have been very hard, because of the difficulties of each subject, and in addition, the problem of studying in front of a screen the most of the time, which makes me more tired. To get free from the work, sometimes I see series or movies when I have free time (generally using Netflix), but always trying to take care of my vision (because, at the end, this hobby means more hours in front of a screen). Since April, I have been watching an anime serie, Naruto Shippuden, that I'm going to end during the next weeks (that is very sad). Generally, I watch movies on Fridays and weekends. I have a very long list about the movies, series or documentaries I want to see at the future. I like the good stories, and I think that help me to endure the pandemic and keep myself amused. Recently I started listening to music very often. Before, I use to listen to music while I was doing so...

Post 2: The Best Holidays Ever

Imagen
Hi again! Actually I don't travel so much on my holidays. Me and my family used to visit my dad's relatives in Coñaripe, near to Villarica. Then, six years ago, we traveled to Concepción for the first time, and then, we visited Temuco and Santiago.  But on February of this year, I spent a very good time, coming back to Coñaripe after a few years. Before that, in January, while we were travelling to Temuco -because my brother needed a blood test-, we made a stop on Coñaripe for the afternoon and night, to visit my dad's brother and family. That was short, but a very nice time, so we agreed to visit them the next month, for longer. So, one month later, we came back. We stayed for five days. Coñaripe is a beautiful place to spend your vacations. It is surrounded by a lot of hills and lakes, full of vegetation. We climbed to the old house of my grandparents, on the hills; we swimmed on the Pellaifa Lake and we visited a thermal springs, because near to Coñaripe is full of therm...

Post 1: A Country I'd Like To Visit

Imagen
Hi guys! Recently I have been thinking I'd like to visit Germany, because I have a friend that started living there since almost two years ago, and she had told me a lot of good things about that country.  For example, I know Germany is a very organized country, where the transport is always on time. Also, the germans take care of their culture and history. Once somebody told me that travel across Europe is easier than travel across South America, because of the agreements between european countries. That's a good reason to live or visit Germany I think. I'd like to visit the historical places of Germany, like the remainders of the Wall of Berlin, the Brandenburg Gate, and different cities, like Munich, Hamburg, besides Berlin. Also I'd like to look for my ancestors, because part of my family came from Austria and Germany, a very long time ago.   I think I would like to study in Germany, because the foreigners can do it for free at University, as my friend right now. In...
